September blues...

I've been in school for about a week. In that time, I've been busy. Super busy. So busy that I'm typing this post on my phone as I sit on the toilet. (tmi, sorry.)

Let's take a brief overview of my classes...

American lit 1: torture but tolerable
World civ: tolerable but professor has too many expecting for a 1000 level class (yes I have to take a 1000 level class to fulfill the need of my minor)
Brit lit 1: tolerable... I actually enjoy it
Film: MY FAVORITE
Criminal justice: eh
Internship: LOVE.

Okay, that's just a quick little update. I will go into detail once the stress hits and I need to vent about it.

But let's take a second to appreciate my cute theme I have established on my insta feed over the last week or so since moving back to Arkansas.

Dog Sitting

I am dog-sitting for my cousin. I'm staying at her place and watching her two fur babies while she's on a road trip.

This is Boomer. He doesn't like to share his toys, but he is the sweetest. He follows me everywhere and insists on sitting right next to me. He also had a foot fetish and he'll just play with my feet, LOL.

Trying to watch Gilmore Girls and write, but Boomer insists on sitting right next to me.

Gabbana. The princess is relaxing and napping. She is occasionally barking at the television screen. I really think she can understand them and she enjoys watching tv.

Vacation Photos

Okay... I've finally had a little break from my work schedule and I am uploading some pictures from my trip to Myrtle Beach.

The top two photos are from the first night we arrived in MB. It was a long 18-hour drive. We drove from Broken Arrow, Ok through Arkansas passing through my school then through Little Rock, Memphis, Birmingham, Atlanta, and then we passed through Covington and Conyers where they shoot TVD and TO, then through Columbia, and then finally making it to MB, SC. These photos are from outside of our hotel door. We stayed at the Blue Hotel and it's right on the beach. The rooms are okay... We got a hotel room big enough for 8 people. So, when you first walk in--there are two beds, then you go into the hall way and there is a small kitchen nook, and then a hallway to the bathroom, and then a small living room with a bed that comes down from the wall, and then a futon, and it also included a balcony. The hotel is not like normal hotels where you get into your room from the hallway--as soon as you step off the elevator you are outside and it's more of an outdoor hallway, but it was nice because as soon as we arrived, there were fireworks there to greet us.

This is the strip of beach right outside of the hotel. This is right after all the rain cleared up, and the hot lifeguard was no longer there. (My sisters and I met a hot lifeguard with an incredibly sexy accent.)

This is a picture my sister snapped of me with my brother's boogie board and a snorkeling thing I bought from the store in hopes of finding perfect seashells and starfish--no luck. The only good thing about those goggles was that it covered my nose and when those waves tried to take me under, I wasn't choking up a storm afterward.
A picture of a wave that I snapped with my phone while on the boogie board--I promptly crashed afterward. Once you go far enough, you can ride the waves and it's so much more serene, peaceful, and fun. I did go just far enough, as well as my dad, but we saw 47 m down right before this trip and sharks were also spotted a month earlier, and I didn't want to get my leg bitten off. LOL.

The view outside of our balcony.

At Myrtle Beach State Park. I'm waiting for John Tyree...

The Pier at MBState Park.

The cute crab we thought was dead--after snapping this photo we found out our little friend was very much alive.

My older sister and I. Look at my beach hair... actually its the rain + saltwater + frizz = this mess.

Summertime Sadness...

I cannot believe I moved to Oklahoma three years ago! It seems like it was yesterday, but also forever ago all at the same time. But I also grew up here half of the time too, so maybe that's why it feels like that.

My grades this spring semester were absolute shit. It's the lowest semester GPA I've ever seen so far. Since I came home this summer, all I've done is work--which is a good thing since I need to save money.

Next, next weekend we may go to N. Carolina... we will see though... I just want to go to the beach, honestly.

Here are some books that I have read since May:

-Nothing Like You
-Always and Forever, Lara Jean
-Something Borrowed (again)
-Love the One You're With (loved it ;.))
-Baby Proof (in the process)
-Milk and Honey
-I wrote this for you
-The Princess Saves Herself in This One

I also bought a ton of books. I'll make a separate post, hopefully soon and hopefully by the end of the summer.

Hang tight.

Always and Forever, Lara Jean

Always and Forever, Lara Jean (To All the Boys I've Loved Before Series #3)
This release of this book had very bad timing. I had a research paper due at midnight that night, and I started this book the second it was released east coast time. I even had to buy it on my credit card. And of course, like all of her other books---I finished this one in a matter of hours. Less than 24 if we are being honest.

The series overall was good, but I am not sure if I really like it. Mostly because I think it parallels with her other trilogy---The Summer Series, but I guess Jenny Han just likes the same kind of stuff to happen to a person. The book ended just the way each book ended--LJ and PK get into a fight, and then makeup.

I think this book just left me with so many unanswered questions... well just one to be honest. I want to know whatever happened to the letter LJ started to write to Josh again where she said, "Ps I still love you," hence... the title of the next book. He's pretty much disappeared from the series in the second book. It makes me sad. I loved Josh. I think it is because I have a fantasy and I love the idea of friends realizing that they are *get ready to cringe* meant for one another.

Internship

So I decided to get my foot in the door for publishing. So I signed up for this internship class. It's only one credit hour class, but I go every week for an hour and read through all this literary work that has been submitted and copy edit it, and give my opinion on it to decide whether or not it should go into the magazine.

I'm excited to see how this goes.

Chicken Salad

I have been craving a chicken salad sandwich for weeks now. So, I hauled myself to Walmart and bought myself one of those cold rotisserie chickens, mayo, celery, dried cranberries. (I forgot walnuts :( )

As soon as I got back to my dorm, I tore apart that chicken and threw the chicken, mayo, chopped up celery, and dried cranberries into a plastic Tupperware and mixed it all together!

I honestly cannot say how much to add on whichever ingredient... It honestly depends on who likes what. Personally, I do not like too much mayo, I like a lot of cranberries and celery.

First day of class

It's my fourth semester here in Arkansas. Yesterday was my first day of class. I have four classes back to back, one online, and an internship. Whew. That's a lot.

Class was okay, but I'm dreading all the work that is required. But let me say this... If I can get past Advanced Comp and Math, I think I'l be okay...

I'm just dreading British Lit next spring semester... I'll be taking that with the same professor who told me I sucked. UGH KILL ME.

On the bright side of this week.... I am broke!! I bought a new computer, which I am using now. But it's okay, I really needed a new one. Laptops are great, but only last so long...

The white Macbook I had started to lag, even though I love it, I'll still use it, but it's just not fast enough for school for me.

And then my pink one is just too tiny. I use that for in class stuff and I have the desktop here in my dorm...

The  best part about me being broke is that it will force me to eat on campus, aka starve because nothing is good, therefore I have no money to buy food = skinny!

AHHHHHHHHHHH, I'll post pics soon.
